On 7 and 8 October 2026, SOPRODA Poultry Feed will be taking part in VIV Africa at the Kigali Convention Centre in Rwanda. This trade fair will provide an opportunity to showcase our range of feed products, meet poultry farmers and distributors from East Africa, and discuss their animal feed requirements with them, with a view to expanding our presence in these markets.
Feed, a key factor in performance
For poultry farmers, feed represents a major component of production costs. The choice of feed must therefore take into account the nutritional requirements of the poultry at each physiological stage, as well as the type of production and the desired outcomes. An appropriate diet helps to support the animals’ growth and optimise farm performance.
Production conditions also play a role in feed management. In tropical climates, temperatures and rearing practices can influence the feeding behaviour of poultry.
For distributors, other criteria come into play: product availability, the coherence of the product range on offer, and the ability to meet the demands of local farmers. Understanding these different needs is essential to providing a relevant range of products.
Over 9,000 tonnes of feed shipped in 2025
In 2025, SOPRODA shipped over 9,000 tonnes of feed. Through our SOPRODA Poultry Feed brand, which specialises in animal feed, we offer a wide range of products including soya meal, premixes and concentrates for laying hens and broilers, as well as complete feeds. Our range also includes essential nutrients and feed for pigs and fish.
These products meet a variety of needs, from on-farm feed formulation to the supply of complete feeds to livestock farms. Our range therefore enables farmers and feed manufacturers to find solutions tailored to their business and production requirements.
