From 16 to 19 October 2025, SOPRODA had the pleasure of participating in the very first edition of the International Agricultural, Livestock and Agri-Food Fair (FIAEA), held at the Olympic Stadium in Nouakchott, Mauritania. This unprecedented event, organised by the Mauritanian International Trade Fair Company (SIM des Foires), brought together key players in the agricultural, poultry and agri-food sectors from the region and beyond.
A major event for Mauritania’s agricultural and agri-food sectors
FIAEA 2025 brought together producers, breeders, manufacturers, investors, public institutions and technical partners to discuss the key issues of sustainability, innovation and food security. The event provided a rich forum for sharing experiences and networking among professionals to stimulate local value chains.
Organised under the auspices of SIM des Foires, whose mission is to promote structuring economic events and highlight the country’s productive potential, the fair was well attended and saw active participation from national and international economic operators.
A moment of sharing and exchange for SOPRODA
Alongside our partner Big Dutchman, we had the opportunity to meet many professionals from the poultry and agricultural sectors. These exchanges allowed us to share our expertise, listen to the specific needs of the Mauritanian market and discuss the prospects for sustainable development in the local poultry industry.
The presence of national companies and various international delegations also fostered enriching professional encounters and opened up new opportunities for regional cooperation.
